We Must Be 'M.A.D'
Why you are M.A.D. by purchasing and donating? The next distribution of Donations on your behalf is - T.B.A Every generous donation will be distributed on a needs basis the next time Cooee-Eco visits Cambodia. The donated items will be distributed by Cooee-Eco, Khmer volunteers, or volunteer M.A.D. teams on your behalf. The materials will be purchased locally, hence assisting the local Khmer people and providing a small wage to local Khmers who dig the wells. Everything else is done on a volunteer basis thus making sure your entire donation is spent how you intend. Your kind donation of a water well will help support 1-5 rural families with water for cleaning, washing, drinking and irrigation for their crops to help provide an income. Families who do not have wells must travel on foot to obtain their daily requirements. By purchasing a Well you are assisting families to work their way out of poverty, which enables development of dignity. The potential recipients of a donated Well are asked to save a small amount towards their Well. Saving this money might take families a short time or several months; it is important, as this develops a sense of ownership and pride in their Well. We then discuss that their savings is rolled over and goes towards another well for a Khmer family so everyone is helping each other. Water filters, rice, mosquito nets, and school supplies are a straight donation as these are directly donated to rural schools, orphanages, or a filter given to families with their new WELL. All donated mosquito nets from June 09 will be donated to the Angkor Hospital for Children- Friends Without a Border on behalf of Chamreay until further notice. You will be able to see pictures of your donated item and the people it helps. These will be featured on the We Must Be M.A.D. page when Cooee-Eco returns from each visit! Everyone has a right to clean water !

Everytime you click on these links, Gumdrops and ZEHR will make a donation towards school supplies to be distributed on the next M.A.D.Adventure. Thank you from the people that will benefit by your click. "Dont Palm Us Off"
Zoos Victoria launched their "Dont Palm Us Off" campaign requesting that palm oil be labelled in the list of ingredients. The food we're buying is pushing Orang-utans to extinction. Palm Oil is found in most food products and its rampant cultivation is destroying the Orang-utans habitat at an alarming rate.
